He Loves You

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Too often, I fear that familiarity breeds contempt, even when it comes to scripture. We have grown up memorizing certain verses, saying them so often, that we are blind to the powerfulness of them.

God, the creator of the entire universe, who can do whatever he wants, and can be with anyone he wants, loves and wants to be with you! And not just a little bit, he is so infatuated with you, that he sent His Son to die, for us, not by being injected with a needle, but by the humiliation of hanging on a tree, so we could be with him!!

He loves you, and don't you forget it!

Satan Under Control

Satan only has as much power as God gives him.

While we might sit and worry about what the devil is going to try and do to us next, we need to remember that he, just as anything else, is under the control of the Most High.

1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptations has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

There is no question, Satan will tempt us, just like he tempted Job. But like Job, God has given us a way out.

Enjoy Every Little Bit Of It!

"And it's a great day to be alive, I know the sun's still shining when I close my eyes"

Ever stop and wonder what makes a day a 'good day'?
Is it when you've had a good time with you friends?
Or, you aced a math test?
You worked out really hard?
You laughed so hard your sides hurt?
Everything in your day seemed to go right?

But what about:
When you don't get that green light?
Or, everyone else had plans?
You woke up late?
Maybe you didn't make that green light, because if you had a drunk driver would have hit you.
Maybe everyone else has plans so that you could spend time with God.
You woke up late, sure, but you did in fact wake up!

Nothing extraordinary has to happen in order for you to have a 'good day.'
Every day has been given to you a reason, everyday is a gift.
Take it, and enjoy every little bit of it!

Perfect, Unchangeable Love

John 15:9, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love."

This short, simple verse could be read over and easily forgotten. It might not seem like much, but this little sentence may very well be my all time favorite verse.
           Read it again.
Jesus loves us, just as much as His Father loves Him!
The perfect, unchangeable love. That is what Jesus tells us to abide in, to thrive in
Jesus loves us enough to give up his place in Heaven, to live on the rock he created.

So next time you think you're by yourself. Remember, you are loved more than you could ever imagine.

Fifteen Things Your Girl Won't Tell You

           She loves it when:

·      You take an absurd amount of pictures with her.
·      You pull her into your lap and kiss her.
·      You make sure that everyone knows she’s yours.
·      You are the person she can look to for perspective.
·      You don’t let her win the argument that she loves you more.
·      You play with her hair.
·      You tell her she’s beautiful, all the time,
·      You come up from behind and hug her around her waist.
·      You tell her you love her, even when you’ve already said it a million times.
·      You hold her hand wherever you can.
·      You are the person she can always rely on.
·      You take her in your arms, and just hold her.
·      You open every door.
·      You make her laugh so hard her sides hurt.
·      You let her know everyday, that you couldn’t imagine life without her.

"Never Underestimate my Jesus"

"Never underestimate my Jesus
Your tellin me that there's no hope
I’m tellin you your wrong
Never underestimate my Jesus
When the world around you crumbles
He will be strong he will be strong"

-Relient K

Life can be so overwhelming, at times you might think that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. But there is always hope. There is always something that can happen to change EVERYTHING. It's the Sunday School answer, but Jesus is always there for you to lean on, to hope in, and to depend on. And with a snap of his figure, he can change your depress into JOY!!

So pray for the impossible, go head, DO IT!! And just see what happens!

Crayon Melting,

After seeing an artistic way of using crayons, my best friend and I decided that we wanted to see what would happen if we tried. This is what happened. Overall not too shabby, and no one got scalded by melting wax, which is a major plus!

This color didn't fit very well.

The dull side, the happy side!

Who knew what kind of things hair dryers could be used for!

Just like Clockworx

“And we know that for those who love God all things wor[x] together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” –Romans 8:28

Clockworx, everything that happens, happens just like clockworx. God plans out every little detail and makes sure that everything is completed just as he decided it would be. Even the little things that occur in everyday situations, events that seem totally random, and without a purpose, have been set in place to happen. Nothing comes as a surprise to our Creator. Everything has a set purpose to accomplish, a purpose to bring us good, and to bring God glory. For that is why we are here, we are here to glorify God and to enjoy Him, and everything he has given us, forever.
